Helen and I decided to start Little Leaf Books because she has so many stories tucked away gathering dust. We thought children (and adults too) would love to read them and Helen put the stories and illustrations together, using multi-medium techniques to make wonderful reading. Linda organised the layout and production of the books.
Children always love books with pictures and colour, and that is what Helen and Linda have created. The range of stories are enjoyable for all ages, from very young right through to mature adult.
Helen Porteous lives in the Mallee region of Northern Victoria and has always been interested in reading, writing, drawing and having adventures of the magical kind. Many thanks to the Mallee Artists Swan Hill for supporting the fun side of creating cute and curious creatures. Other published books are Sandy the Flipper Dragon – RoseDog Books, and MARA -Balboa Press.
Linda Lycett lives in NSW and her crafts of spinning and designing. Her
love of books has brought her to helping other authors publish their books, and through this to co-authoring the Little Leaf Books with Helen, setting up the design and layout. Linda has three grown children and six grandchildren, some of who have also inherited her love of books.
